Letting Go Of Things In Life

It's hard to let go of things, especially when they mean so much to you. You might not realize it right away, but letting go usually means something better is on the way. Always remember, what is meant to be will be. There are so many things you can do in the meantime to help yourself cope; to help until you realize everything will be okay. I have found my ways, which I still do to this day, and I know you will find yours. So let's talk about it!

Something everyone ends up having to let go of is a friend or partner. As we get older, we go different places and have different priorities, which results in leaving some people behind, yet meeting new people along the way, and it all depends on how important you are to one another. I just moved into college a couple of months ago, leaving many people from my hometown behind, with only a couple that I'll sadly, probably, never speak to again. Being in college has taught me how to be more independent. It helped me realize that everything will be okay in the end. According to the bible, Jeremiah 29:11, it talks about how God has already handled what you are worrying about; he has a path set for you, and you can lean on him for anything. I always, always, always think about this anytime I get anxious or start overthinking. People come and go, but they are not the only thing we let go of in life.

As we grow up, our personalities, style, and beliefs change; we become different people. Looking back at my younger self, I was a totally different person, and I believe I have changed in good AND bad ways. It's sad to think about the versions of myself I let go of, but I will always still have that little girl inside of me. Everybody changes as they grow up, and that is something we can't change. (Kind of ironic) But that is just how life is; if you stayed acting like a kid forever, I don't think you would go very far in life, just my personal opinion. There are many things that change about ourselves that we don't even realize. These changes in ourselves are what can sometimes become the changes in friends, hobbies, and beliefs. No matter your age, you will find yourself, you will find places you long to go to, people that make you feel seen, and hobbies that help you relax and have fun. Something I have experienced myself, which was a bit of a weird feeling, was that there are certain hobbies that I wish I enjoyed or certain foods that I wish I liked, but I don't. If it's something that I want to like, then why do I not like it? It has always confused me, especially since I would try it and still not like it, but I want to so badly.

Now that we have addressed all of this, the most important thing is to accept it and learn to love it. Going through things like this only makes life better. It brings you closer to who you are and things that make you happy. Something to remember is that you should never blame yourself or feel guilty for anyone or anything that you have let go of in life. Only you know what is best for you, and sometimes you just need to put yourself first. So if this blog has taught you anything, let it be to know that everything is okay (as I've mentioned multiple times above), people change and life goes on. (Reminder: Jeremiah 29:11) <3 I love you all!
